Anthropic Integrates Claude Chat and Cowork Features into Unified Interface

Anthropic has merged its Claude chat model with the Cowork collaborative feature into a single interface, addressing user feedback regarding confusion in feature selection. This integration follows the introduction of Claude Design in April, which focused on website and prototype design. The new interface aims to simplify user interactions by allowing seamless transitions between chat and collaborative tasks, as noted by Anthropic, which stated that "customers often struggled to choose the right tab for the right task." Users can now share generated documents or slides via a link, enhancing collaboration efficiency. The rollout of these features will initially be available to Pro and Max subscription tiers. This update is part of Anthropic's ongoing efforts to refine user experience, especially in light of previous concerns raised about interface complexity. The changes will be showcased at an event in San Francisco from October 13 to 15.
