Overview

Turing Wire is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel, with articles and admin sign-in backed by Supabase. Reading the site never requires an account, and we don't collect personal data from readers beyond what's described below.

What we collect

From readers browsing the site: nothing. There are no reader accounts, no comments, and no tracking of who you are individually.

The contact form is the one exception. The contact form sends the name, email address, topic, and message you type directly to Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which forwards it to us by email. We don't otherwise store or process what you submit. See Web3Forms for how they handle that data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, referrers, approximate region. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. We don't use it to build individual profiles, but Google's own privacy policy governs how Google itself handles the data it collects.

Admin sign-in

The site's articles and internal admin panel run on Supabase. On every page, a small script checks — from your browser — whether you're signed in as an admin. For everyone except the editor, that check finds no session and transmits no personal data.

External services

  • Google Fonts — Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log requests. To avoid this, use a browser extension that blocks external font requests.
  • Finnhub — Stock data for the AI Stocks dashboard is fetched server-side on a schedule. No client-side requests are made to Finnhub from your browser.
  • ECharts — Dashboard charts are rendered with a script loaded from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net), which may log requests.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses localStorage to remember your dark/light mode preference; that value never leaves your browser. Google Analytics separately sets its own cookies, as described above.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent change.
