GPT-6 Astra Achieves Gaming Milestones, Outperforming Previous Models

GPT-6 Astra completed Pokemon FireRed in 18 hours, significantly faster than GPT-5.6 Sol, which took 96 hours, and GPT-5.5, which took 218 hours. In Factorio, GPT-6 Astra produced blue science packs in just 2 hours and launched its first rocket in 10 hours. It also finished Fallout 3 in 59 hours and spent a total of 141 hours in Minecraft. The model achieved a 62.7 percent success rate using the standard interface and an impressive 99.9 percent success rate with OpenAI's harness, compared to GPT-5.6 Sol's 7.78 percent and Claude Opus 5's 30 percent. This follows previous advancements in AI gaming, including the 2023 Voyager project, where GPT-4 proposed tasks in Minecraft. Notably, GPT-6 Astra provided strategic advice during gameplay, such as always carrying critical items and managing health effectively.
