Muse App Downloads Surge

Meta's Muse app has reached 4.3 million downloads, according to estimates from Apptopia. The app launched on September 8 and quickly climbed to the top of both the U.S. App Store and Google Play Store by September 19. Initial downloads were reported at 2.5 million at the start of the week and grew to 3.4 million shortly thereafter.

In its first two weeks, Muse saw an estimated 2.8 million downloads, with a remarkable 55% day-over-day growth from September 8 to September 17. This growth outpaced ChatGPT, which experienced a 24% day-over-day growth in its first 10 days. As of now, Muse has recorded 2.6 million downloads on iOS according to Apptopia, while Appfigures reports a total of 2.3 million installs.

The app's success has also translated into a 27% increase in daily active users following Meta Connect. Notably, 6% of ad impressions from launch through September 19 were attributed to ads promoting Muse, indicating a strategic marketing push. Connor Hayes, head of Threads at Meta, noted that the marketing strategy for Muse differs significantly from that of Threads.

This rapid adoption suggests that developers and product managers may need to consider Muse as a viable platform for AI applications, given its swift user base growth and engagement metrics.
